About me

Three years ago, I moved to San Diego with a dream that felt almost impossible to reach. I arrived with only $800 in my pocket and spent my first nights sleeping in my car. It was a time of uncertainty, but also a time of deep reflection. I wanted to build something from nothing—something that would represent my journey, my life, and my Italian roots.

Today, I am proud to see that dream come to life through PIZZAYOLO.

Back home in Italy, my friends often ask me: “Davide, how do you find such high-quality products in America?” The truth is, I refuse to settle. I’ve spent countless hours seeking out the incredible artisans at Greco and Sons, who help me bring in an amazing selection of imported Italian products—the kind you simply can’t find anywhere else in the U.S.

I recently attended a private tasting event with them, and it reminded me why I do this. Events like these allow me to deepen my knowledge of the ingredients I use every day. I hand-select only the products that truly reflect my standards and my passion. Because I believe that if I want to serve you the best, I must choose the best.
